The idea
As the school year is ready to begin, we would like to take advantage of the last bits of summer by organising an event for families in Ravenscourt Park.
We will have activities for children and adults, games, sports activities, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts activities, face painting and many more.
Water and snacks will be provided during the event, and we encourage everyone to bring along a picnic and share if they wish.

Why it's a great idea
Since the school holidays will be coming to an end, a party is a great way to bring the community together to build on the memories of a great summer. The event is open to the public and anyone can join free of charge.
Steps to get it done

- Order food, water and other items for activities
- Prepare and transport all items in the park
The Summer Party is the finale of our Summer Programme of trips and activities for families who are homeless or living in temporary unsuitable accommodation. Many of the families we are working with are surviving on incomes derived from poorly paid work and/or benefits. We are trying to offer the little extras to families, those extras that many take for granted but that are often denied to the families we work with.
