Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
Hello everyone and firstly thank you so much for your support which enabled us to make a convincing case for our project to Cheshire West and Chester Council. As a result, I am delighted to be able to tell you that we received three pledges: £13,151 from the Community Innovation Fund; £1,465 from the Cheshire West Crowd Fund and £1,000 from the Covid Recovery and Renewal Fund. This means that we now have pledges totaling £16,576 against a target of £20,412; a shortfall of £3,709.75 once we take Gift Aid into account. For our small charity, this remains a challenging amount to raise - but clearly, far less daunting than when we started. So, in addition to wishing you all very best wishes for the coming festive period, can we please ask you to share this good news with other of your contacts and invite them to join us in what we consider to be a very worthwhile venture and especially for those with mobility issues. In the meantime, we will be doing our best to encourage our local traders to help, along with applying to other potential funding sources. And if you have any suggested contacts or ideas, please let us know. Best wishes and thanks Derick Cotton Treasurer
