This is a joint project between East Cheshire Eye Society (ECES) and the Disability Information Bureau (DIB).
Established in 1875, ECES aims to help people affected by sight loss live life to the full. ECES provides a wide range of services, many of them bespoke to the needs of the individual, including: Home visits; Social groups and activities; Technology training and advice; Equipment advice and training; Financial entitlement information; Employer and employee advice; Emotional support and guidance; and support for friends and family.
For over 25 years the DIB has been empowering local disabled people, those with long-term health conditions, vulnerable adults and carers to lead independent, active and fulfilling lives. The DIB provides a wide range of services, including: Access appraisals; Hate crime reporting centre; Information and advice service; Computer learning centre; Macclesfield accessibility group; New Leaf building better opportunities; Sale of RADAR keys; Room hire to help people meet training needs; Shopmobility; Disability Awareness training; and Welfare rights services;
