The idea
The winning students must demonstrate full understanding of the product or service, consumer audience and demand, financial management, develop a multi medium communications strategy, consider visual merchandising, stock control and excellent customer service skills. Students will be supported throughout the process by experts drawn from the supporting partners.
The winner will be given access to a bank account holding the £2,000 business fund to facilitate their business venture; all transactions will be monitored and supported through Barclays. The exciting opportunity will enable the students to retain the profit from the new business, and could prove a sustainable venture well into future.
What we'll deliver

- Offer the students step by step expert guidance throughout the process
Why it's a great idea
There has been a growing trend towards independents offering a point of difference in local towns and cities; this is shown in the re-emergence of the street market and quirky off pitch sites that offer a customer a sense of community and place.
Our Space Your Place will help University of Worcester students gain first hand practical experience in prime retail destination helping to nurture the Phillip Green’s and Marc Bolland’s of tomorrow.
