Why it's a great idea
We would like to be involved in the national event of Our Big Gig 2014 because we believe it is vital to give young creative performers the opportunity to develop and nature their talents. We will be helping the local community come together and provide an intergenerational platform for the evening entertainment.
Workshop Facilitators will assist young people to build confidence and develop skills that will support creative career advancement and answer any questions pertaining to a career in this sector.
Mentoring and further workshops are on offer to the young people after the event from our varied community groups: Smart Kids, Southwark Arts Forum, Metropolitan Police, Community officers, local community arts organisations, youth centres, Pecan Foodbank, Safe and Sound, Peckham Employment Academy, Connexions, Salmon Youth Centre, Downside Fisher Youth Centre, Kids Co and housing associations.
