Community sits at the heart of what we do. We are a community in our group, but we understand that community does not just mean those people physically around you. Communities can be made from an idea, a joint passion, or a cause. We believe that a community can be a movement to empower others to make a real difference to people’s lives. This not only applies to those who view our performances, but to our members as well. We welcome anyone who would like to be a part of the group and promote inclusiveness as one of our key values. We welcome those with years of experience, to those treading the boards for the first time, showcasing the amazing talent we have in our communities.
With each performance, we want to create conversations about issues that we face in today’s world. From mental health, abuse to homelessness, disability and beyond. We want to inspire hope that there is support out there, which is why we are inviting charities specialising in supporting people with these issues, to partner with us to ensure those who need it, get the help they deserve.
The arts have always been a powerful vehicle for social change, and we want to bring high quality, thought provoking pieces into the arena and empower those who can make change happen, to act. To inspire our communities to make this a better place for us all.
We are a non-profit group, any monies raised from our performances will go back into the group to create our next piece of work, however we are needing support to reach as many people as possible. As we want our group to be accessible to all, we do not charge our members to join and a lot of our current costs are being covered by members of the group, such as marketing, theatre rental, transport, equipment, costumes/props etc but this is not an option available to all our members
