Theme park day out!

Every year we plan a little holiday for our families, we want to take our families to Scotland to a theme park with accessible rides for our children. Which gives all families a memory to treasure

The idea

We aim to give families a break through our events. and be able to do things as a family that they might not get to do without the support of the charity. last year we took our families to Blackpool for 2 nights. it was lovely to see all our families having a great time with each other and the hotel was brilliant with our disabled access needs.
We want to do the same again for 2024 however take them to Scotland to a theme park called M&D's Scotland's Theme Park. some of the rides here are disabled friendly which is very rare. so were planning on taking them for 2 nights in a hotel and the theme park entry to give families that little break away.

What we'll deliver

  • a hotel for our families to stay in with wheelchair access
  • the theme park event
  • a break and help support families on this mini vaccation

Why it's a great idea

Our benefits of helping the community with people who are visually impaired or have vision problems. A lot of which our kids are in wheelchairs and we need to provide and find the right places to hold events, which can be challenging but to take them away and see the children enjoying themselves and being accepted in one big unit is such a prize giving thing to us!

Steps to get it done

  • providing hotel for our families
  • Providing entry for the theme park
  • Providing entertainment on the evening for our families with bingo and quizzes
