Empowering people to improve their green spaces, enhance their environment, and boost wellbeing.
HERE was created by Dana Dyksterhuis and Jen Armstrong to bring mindfulness support to families. With her MSc in Developmental and Educational Psychology, along with yoga and mindfulness training for families, Jen brings an incredible, compassionate mindset. As a startup founder and mum in London on the Tech Nation Exceptional Talent Visa, Dana knows firsthand the amazing benefits of Jen’s expertise due to Jen's help with her family... Help that is so invaluable, the two created HERE to offer this support to everyone. Our first Om:Pop was held at Melcombe Primary School in Fulham and was such a joy. One of the parents said: "Just to say thank you. I attended the Mindfulness Workshop and it was so nice, a very relaxing environment. I just loved it there. I hope to see more of it also for parents too." The mental wellbeing of families is so important and resources are short. We offer our Om:Pop as a way to begin, and a digital community to support you after. Join our family!
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
At HERE, our goal is to create happy, healthy households worldwide through mindful practice. From stress to mental health issues, families are in critical need of wellbeing support and resources are lacking. For parents, this can result in feelings of failure and low emotional energy that can have a heavy cost on the household. For children, it can result in low self-confidence, anxiety and worse. Studies show that yoga and mindfulness help! So much so, many organisations such as the "Heads Together" by The Royal Foundation and "Healthy London" by the NHS and The Mayor of London's office are working to offer help to community members. Families need support and we are here to help. It's our tagline: Here For You For Them. Join us not only to learn skills to help you breathe and relax, but also to help you through tough life moments too. Not to mention, family time, exercise and bonding. The help doesn't end with the Om:Pop - We have digital communities for ongoing support too.
