Our team brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our work at OJ's. With 17 years of dedicated service, we have honed our skills in supporting children and young people with autism, learning difficulties and additional needs, as well as their families. Our founder, Lisa, a mother of four children, including one with profound autism and severe learning difficulties, intimately understands the challenges faced by families in accessing appropriate support and services.
Lisa's personal journey inspired the creation of OJ's, driven by the need to provide a welcoming and understanding environment where families like hers could feel accepted and supported. Her firsthand experience navigating the complexities of raising a child with autism, particularly during Ollie's formative years, underscores our organisation's commitment to addressing the unique needs of each family we serve.
Having faced the realities of limited community resources and societal judgment firsthand, Lisa and our team are deeply empathetic to the struggles families encounter. We bring a compassionate and understanding approach to our work, recognising the importance of creating a safe and inclusive space where families feel heard, valued, and supported.
Our collective experience, coupled with Lisa's personal journey, uniquely positions us to provide holistic and tailored support to families facing similar challenges. We are dedicated to leveraging our expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support, empowering families to navigate the journey of raising a child with autism and related conditions with confidence and resilience.
