The idea
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, North Leeds Cricket Club has had to close our bar (our main source of income), and membership subs have been heavily impacted. These revenues are critical to the functioning and survival of our club.
Any support members and the general public are able to provide during this difficult time will help us to meet our ongoing costs, pay our bills and reopen as soon as we are able to.
Playing and enjoying cricket in a team environment and having our local community hubs open to us again is something we all look forward to, and will be valued all the more given everyone's recent struggles.
What we'll deliver
- Help pay for critical overheads during the COVID-19 crisis
- Cover ground maintenance and key running costs
Why it's a great idea
As the cricket season has yet to get under way and all our fundraisers are currently cancelled, we have no income but still have to pay ongoing bills. We have a small grant from the ECB to help carry on, but rely on donations and generosity to supplement this.
We love our Cricket Club and want to ensure it survives this crisis. With your help we will be open again as soon as possible once it is safe to do so.
Steps to get it done
- Run crowdfunding campaign to collect funds
- Pay for essential overheads
- Start planning for the end of the lock down
