The idea
Newtown CP + PAN Disability football is a unique venture within Malvern.
We offer football sessions by highly trained coaches to any child aged 5-16 with any disability. This can be a mental or physical disability. The complex needs and diverse disabilities within our offering means that we have expanded and now offer two sessions.
There is a need for our service within Malvern as there is nothing else like us in this area. We are inclusive and are passionate about being able to offer children the ability to play football in an environment where they are understood and cared for. Whether they have ADHD, Autism, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, learning disabilities, heart conditions, brain conditions, diabetes, Down’s syndrome, and many more.
What we'll deliver
- Ability to offer more disability sessions
- Expand offering to allow more children to access us
- Hopeful for transport to and from league games
Why it's a great idea
Our project benefits all children within Malvern and surrounding areas in Worcestershire who have a disability as stated in the Equality act. There is no offering like ours within Malvern.
Our disability football club allows children with all kinds of disabilities to come together and access football/sport. For many children, this will be the only place where they are around other children with disabilities.
Our unique community not only offers support for children, but for parents too who receive no judgment and are around other like minded parents.
Steps to get it done
- Fund two sessions weekly
