Newton Poppleford Cricket Club is a community sports club based in Devon who need to raise funds to replace the club's cricket pitch mower.
Newton Poppleford Cricket Club is a community sports club based in Devon that provides social cricket to players of all abilities and ages. It is proud to ensure that friendly Sunday cricket is available as an alternative to excellent league structures across Devon. The club has strong links to the local community and area teams ensuring a healthy friendly cricket community, while also welcoming touring teams from across the country. Sadly the club needs to raise funds to replace the club's cricket pitch mower to ensure that we can continue to provide a playing surface of an excellent standard and secure the clubs long-term future.

Providing support and funding to cricket clubs across the country as they return to cricket.
All During these strange times of no cricket, I wanted to do something to ensure that when we return the club can look forward positively. As some of you are aware there has been a need to consider replacement of our pitch mower. At the clubs, AGM members discussed the need to raise funds during this season with several ideas put forward. Sadly with events beyond anyone's control changing everything for a while, raising funds by traditional means seems unlikely for a while. So I have taken advantage of the ECB COVID-19 Emergency Funding initiative and set up this Crowdfunding project. The ECB has already approved and donated £100 towards are total. Now the rest is up to us! In truth, we need to raise beyond £1000 but that seems a big amount so if we take it in steps then it won't seem such a big mountain to climb. I am hopeful that if we show that we are there to support our club then I will be able to engage the wider community to support us too. And when the time comes to approach our sponsors to help us restart cricket with a real positive. These times are difficult for everyone but if you can please support this idea and let us hope we are all back playing soon. Antony Cox NPCC Secretary

VolunteerWe like to think we are a friendly and sociable East Devon Village Cricket Club who play matches on Thursday evenings (20/20) and Sunday afternoons (40 over).
We do not play League Cricket during the summer but some of us play in the Sidmouth Indoor League during the winter. We are kindly sponsored by our local pub -- The Cannon Inn -- where hot food is provided after the match and where a fine selection of beers and ales can be sampled......
We don`t take ourselves too seriously but really enjoy playing cricket in the way it is meant to be played. We only sledge our own players!
This website contains all the club's recent seasons, including fixtures, match reports, player profiles and averages and is kindly sponsored by local businesses so please take a look at their websites in the top banner.Our fixtures for 2020 are almost complete, but if you are a member of a team that would like to arrange a fixture with us, please contact the fixtures secretary through the contacts page above.Touring sides are most welcome but please note, if you are looking for a fixture in 2020, please check our fixtures page, if we have a match for that day then we cannot accommodate you, sorry. We also do not usually play on Saturdays as we now have a local league side that uses our pitch.
