The idea

The GAA club have club members have children with learning difficulties and disabilities. We have decided to develop and create safe environment for the children and to be more inclusive , diverse and supportive to the children concerned. The club already have specific events for the children, but it would be amazing for the children to have a room for themselves.

What we'll deliver

  • Sensory Room

Why it's a great idea

The benefits for the children involved is to help reduce agitation, anxiety, and aggression. Provides a quiet, low-stimulation environment to decompress. Especially beneficial for individuals with autism, PTSD, or sensory sensitivities. Offers controlled sensory input to stimulate sight, sound, touch, and sometimes smell or movement. Supports brain development and sensory integration.
Helps individuals regulate their sensory input, making it easier to focus on tasks afterward. Often used as a “reset” space in schools or therapy sessions. Provides a fun, safe space for exploration. Encourages learning through play. Can be adapted for different ages, abilities, and therapeutic goals. Personalized sensory input makes the room effective for diverse users.
