Westminster City Council has set up Westminster Connects to coordinate volunteers with those who need help.
We have been inspired by the community response to the recent Coronovirus (COVID-19) outbreak and the number of people that are willing to help the most vulnerable in this time of need. We’ve already had many enquiries from local people, groups and businesses asking how they can help their communities. We are, as always, humbled by the amazing community spirit of Westminster’s residents and businesses.
Westminster Connects has now launched a crowdfunding project so that that businesses and residents whose circumstances allow can donate to provide additional community support.
All money raised will go directly to community organisations to deliver projects that are providing support to residents in light of COVID-19 and particularly to ensure our older and most vulnerable residents get the support and help they need during this challenging time. This includes essential food provision, prescription collections and support for people who are feeling lonely or isolated. A full list of projects you can support can be found below.
So many of our community have already come together to help each other, and by supporting this crowdfunding campaign, we can continue these amazing community efforts.
