Umbrella Yoga will create a warm, inclusive wellbeing space offering free or low‑cost yoga sessions in Kirklees.
The project is needed because many local residents face stress, isolation, mobility challenges, and limited access to affordable wellbeing activities. Umbrella Yoga removes these barriers by offering a calm, friendly, and inclusive space where people can move, breathe, and connect without barriers.
Sessions will be accessible to all abilities, including beginners, older adults, carers, and people with long‑term conditions. We’ll provide mats and props, offer gentle and chair‑based yoga, and host tea and chat socials to build connection. This project will improve physical health, reduce anxiety, and strengthen community bonds. Led by qualified instructors and supported by local volunteers, we'll deliver weekly classes in accessible venues and work with local groups to reach those who need it most. With your support, we can create a healthier, more connected community.
