Procreate Project is a social enterprise supporting the development fo contemporary artists who are mothers working across art-form. PCP is a centre of research, knowledge and production around the maternal experience and the arts. The organisation provides support and opportunities for artists who are mothers across all art forms working towards the recognition of mothers in society and the unique role that they have in the development of the creative industries, thus reducing gender inequality in different sectors and providing the right representation to this group of artists.
Procreate Project founded the Mother House art studio model and supports and run interdisciplinary projects with and for international artists. We currently feature and collaborate with over 100 international artists. Today there are established collaborations with organisations and universities, to mention some the Goldsmiths University of London, Leyden Gallery (London), Feminism in London Charity, PIPA consortium, King’s College Hospital, Wellcome Library, Royal College of Arts.
