The environment

The area has been visited by more walkers and fishers recently. A good relationship has been built with the car repair shop across the Britannia Road. They are going to install a video camera to discourage people from dumping waste on the adjacent slopes.

The local economy

The local economy

More leaflets describing the Milnsbridge Riverside Walk have been picked up from the Milnsbridge Village Hall, Golcar Library and the Colne Valley Museum. Each local establishment and activity helps the others.

Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus we could not involve many volunteers in the installation of the picnic benches.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

The publicity following the introduction of the new picnic benches and the republication of the leaflet about the Milnsbridge Riverside Walk has encouraged more people to do the walk and use the picnic benches. The area around the new picnic benches has been cleared and seeded with grass to make it attractive to visitors.
