European’s Welfare Association CIC (known as EWA CIC) was formed back in June 2013 following a mutual willingness of merging two organisations: Midlands Polish Community Centre (MPCC) and Polish Artists in London (PAIL).

We always felt passionate about serving our community whilst working extremely hard in bringing all diverse communities together. Over the last 13 years we have organised numerous events, ran many focus groups, delivered a wide range of workshops and raising awareness sessions, successfully completed various community projects and educated hundreds of young people through the provision of our Polish Supplementary School which was established back in 2009.

In 2017 we received Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

We have simple and well-defined aims and aspirations: enhancing integration of Polish Community into the British Society; cultivation of Polish language, traditions and values; providing advice and guidance in respect of: welfare, health, education, employment, domestic abuse, mental health, homelessness and drug and alcohol misuse; enhancing employability of our volunteers, staff and service users; collaboration and co-production of services via partnership work with our stakeholders.

EWA stands for Education, Welfare and Art.

We are a fully inclusive organisation that seeks to enable our community to fulfil their potential through high quality services, education, training and on-going support in various aspects of everyday life.

Our key services include:

1. Providing Advice and Guidance in a wide range of matters such as immigration status (EUSS), housing, education, employment, welfare, health. 2. Acting as a Thrid Party Reporting Centre for Hate Crime. 3. Carrying out home visits for the most vunerble members within our community. 4. Carrying our surveys and consulations with stakeholders and clients alike. 5. Providing educational activties (including ESOL). 6. organising art and cultural events 7. Acting as a social enterprise & busienss start-up incubator for new business. 8. Providing paid services such as: interperting and translation, mediation the workplace, youth mentoring
