The idea
Over a 12 month period we would like to offer FREE fitness, well being and nutritional one to one advice with personal plans and Love your Body Workshops for the women of Sunderland who are going through all Menopausal stages.
Since 2019 Fit Kat Coaching CIC has been working in the local community with women from all backgrounds and we have also a built close and trusting relationship with BAME women in the local community. The gym has became like a second home to many women, a supportive environment where women can thrive and grow with confidence. We will offer many different styles of fitness classes which will give the women a chance to see which classes they enjoy and hopefully help them to continue in their health, fitness and well being journey lifelong.
Including Boxercise, Weight lifting, WalkFit, Circuits, HIIT, Dance all ending with a relaxation session
2 x fitness sessions per week for 40 weeks
40 x Personal nutritional plans
6 x Love Your Body workshops
What we'll deliver
- Provide different style fitness classes for all levels of fitness to women going through all menopausal stages
- Provide a safe, welcoming environment in our community womens only gym
- Provide encouragement and support from the moment they make contact
- Provide personalised nutritional support to all women on a one-one basis
Why it's a great idea
Our community women's only gym offers a safe, welcoming, non intimidating environment where women can come along to work on their health, fitness and well being whilst having fun and feeling supported from everyone and feel included and part of a community. Where they can learn about nutrition and how maintain a healthy weight throughout their menopausal journey and the rest of their lives with personalised nutrition plans. Women going through the stages of Menopausal stages can suffer with depression, anxiety, increased midlife weight gain, feelings of isolation and osteoporosis to name but a few.

- Approach doctors surgeries and medical centres with leaflets to promote classes
- Social media posts for engagement and to promote the classes
- Evaluation sheets to monitor progress
- Deliver classes to the community
the aim of Fit Kat Coaching CIC is all about bringing lovely lasses together, working out, having fun and loving our bodies and having a healthy mind. From speaking with many women we have found that there aren't many classes that only focus on women who are going through menopausal stages as it is often a taboo subject and women go through it on their own and often feel isolated. We would love to put focus on this and really work together with these women with support, advice and knowledge to change the perspective of this challenging time in a women's life journey.
