The idea
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Marsden Cricket Club have closed the bar in accordance with government guidelines. With this occurring before the start of the season, sponsorship and subscriptions have also been hugely impacted. Any support club members and the local community can provide during this time would be a great help and would ensure that we can pay our bills and reopen as soon as the crisis is over.
We’re particularly disappointed that the junior cricket season has been almost completely lost and will be looking to arrange activities later in the summer if government guidance allows.
We need your help to ensure that we can continue to support the community when we reopen.
What we'll deliver
- Help pay for critical overheads during COVID crisis
- Cover ground maintenance and key running costs
- Allow us to plan activities for the return of cricket
Why it's a great idea
With the crisis coming before the start of the season, we have no income streams, but still have to pay bills to pay and it all adds up.
We love the Club and want to ensure it survives this crisis to serve both young and old in the community for years to come.
Steps to get it done
- Pay key running costs, such as gas and electricity bills
- Undertake ground maintenance, including all the pre=season work required to prepare the ground for cricket
- Plan and arrange activities for the return of cricket
