The environment
We have minimised our impact on carbon emissions by re-using and re-purposing an old telephone box as opposed to buying a new one.
The local economy
We hope that in 2023 the telephone box will be a feature for visitors to take selfies and promote Cirencester through social media. As part of the Ring the Changes and town centre Back to Life initiative, we commissioned a wrap-around on a vacant shop.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We hope that in 2023 that we will be able to use the telephone box to provide information supporting people in volunteering and employment opportunities.
Arts, culture & heritage
Our new telephone box is a cultural feature, a much-loved national treasure, adding to the public art experience.
