Updates
We are now over £7000 and a big thank you to Cheshire West Community fund for a £2000 pledge and Councillor Deynem for £750 from his members budget We are reviewing the roofing options and will update you soon as the project ends in a few days Save the date for the Centenery Celebration weekend June 6th 2025 Many thanks to everybody for their support
Whoop, 70 people have pledged since fundraising began!
We have now completed the insulation work on the rear room of the Hall , plastered and decorated and new radiators fitted. Based on the pledges of support we have completed the work mostly by volunteers so a big thank you to Colin Ford, Ian Walton and Philip Brook. The users have really noticed how much warmer and comfortable the room is and is requiring less heat to make it a usable space - so this is great contribution to the Climate Emergency for now and next 100 years. The final part of the grant application is to replace the roof and we hope to be favoured in the next round of Council grants to be awarded in next few weeks. The Hall celebrates its 100th Birthday in June next year and we will have events to mark this milestone
We have been award £1905 from the Cheshire Climate Change fund Our total is now over 20% at £3427 against a 15k target We await news of the Community Innovation fund which has been delayed until October Thank you to everybody who has supported the fundraising bid - still along way to go so spread the word as we need more donations as part of the centenary fundraising campaign If you haven’t been to the Hall recently please ask to come up and have a look - it’s a great venue for parties and events Thank from the Village Hall
