On Saturday 12th July, from 11am - 4pm in Belmont Hut and Belmont Park we will have lots of interactive arts and music activities in a day of fun, creativity, laughter and inspiration! Trained music workshop leaders and local musicians will lead multiple workshops during the course of the day in songwriting, singing, and percussion; we will have an open mic performance area running throughout to encourage local people to take part and celebrate musical talent; we will have movement and dance workshops to complement the music as well as other fun creative activities on the theme of art and music, such as drawing workshops, an art exhibition, and a performance from our community choir.
What we'll deliver:
- Have interactive activities in and around Belmont Hut, in Exeter, themed around Music and Arts.
Why it's a great idea:
Our fun day will be a great time for people to come together and celebrate creativity, get involved and learn more about music. We know through our work over the last 30 years that taking part in art and music activities can bring a massive boost of confidence, offer a chance to meet new people and have fun, and can be a way of exploring talents and skills you never knew about before. We want to share this creative spirit with everyone through our arts & music fun day, and at the same time raise money to help us continue our valuable work with local vulnerable people, in a time when funding is scarce.
