Lynchmere Cricket -Hardstanding for Nets

We're a village cricket club with a 200 year history. We want to put a hard strip down at the edge of the pitch

The idea

We've obtained planning permission to build a hard-base pitch for our nets. See SDNP/20/00024/FUL .

We are looking to raise the sums required to excavate, put in hard standing, and put a carpet pitch on top.

Presently nets take place on the pitch which can cause damage and is not practical in wet weather.

What we'll deliver

  • Excavate pitch and fill with sand and concrete / aggregate

  • Carpet wicket to go over hardstanding
  • Carpet wicket to go over hardstanding

Why it's a great idea

Ability to hold practice nets in all weathers
Ability to players to practice / throwdown / 'get their eye in' in matches away from the players and spectators

Steps to get it done
