Purchase and install cutting-edge lighting and sound equipment for a state-of-the-art newly built Education Centre.
This project is for the purchase and installation of a sound and lighting system in support of a larger project to build a new studio theatre and education centre, due to start shortly. This new facility will house a 150 seat Studio theatre (300 standing) and provide a versatile space for cultural activities and educational programmes. The sound and lighting system is needed to enable the space to function both as a studio theatre and workshop that will benefit the community by offering accessible, affordable space for cultural and performative activities, providing a range of activities and learning opportunities. Programmes will include workshops and training programmes aimed at nurturing talent development in the performing arts. By offering diverse cultural programming, the project aims to enrich the cultural landscape of Lancashire and create a vibrant hub for artistic expression.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The installation of the new sound and lighting system brings many benefits to the community: it will enhance cultural experiences, expand access to the arts, foster talent development, stimulate economic growth (through improving peoples’ life skills), facilitate community engagement, and offer broader learning experience. The new equipment will enable performances to become more immersive and engaging, creating unforgettable experiences for all involved, making a positive and vibrant contribution to the cultural scene. In parallel a training programme will support talent development and economic benefits will arise from increased visitor attraction. Community engagement and pride are encouraged, fostering a sense of belonging. The diverse cultural programming will enrich the cultural landscape of Lancashire and create a vibrant hub for artistic expression.
