Doncaster Central Learning Centre CIC (DCLC)
The DCLC evolved from the work of the Chinese Women's Group in 1997 and the Doncaster Chinese Learning & Resource Centre in 2001, with its original aims and objectives of improving the quality of life for the Chinese community in and around Doncaster.
DCLC is a Community Interest Company incorporated in 2010 (DCLC). It was formed in response to extend wider support for the increasing needs of the diverse Black & Minority Ethnic communities but not exclusively.
DCLC's vision is: Working for a cohesive society where people of all backgrounds have equal life chances.
DCLC is primarily made up of and are led by volunteers with professional background such as; teachers, tutors, consultants, advisors, artists and creative makers.
DCLC works in partnership with the local Council, statutory and non-statutory organisations, as well as with individuals and groups from the voluntary, charity and business sector.
We are asking for pledges to help us make the first step towards our plans to transform the building into a new and improved learning place. Your pledge will pay for the delivery of a community engagement launch event and the delivery of six collaborative workshops at DCLC.
We need some new IT equipment to help us with the ongoing promotion, publicity and the communication about the project. Our current IT equipment is over 10 years old! Your pledge will enable and help us promote our idea and to keep you informed about what's on offer, how it will benefit you and others and the progress to achieving the transformation.
DCLC welcomes the local community to help create something great that will benefit the community and one that everyone can be proud of! We hope you will join us on this exciting journey and we look forward to begin the first step with you.
