The idea
The trees of Longacres park are in desperate need of upkeep and new trees planted.
Currently Longacres park is one of the few remaining parks who's trees are unprotected.
This project will allow trees to be sponsored and their upkeep maintained. Keeping our loved park green for all.This project will help improve the green space that is used and loved by so many, protected from neglect, and offer a save haven for fun to all residents who enjoy it's open spaces and facilities.
You can even sponsor a tree in memory of a loved one, in honour of an organisation or an event, you can choose a tree and a location from the link below or by using application form;

Why it's a great idea
Maintaining St.Albans starts with maintaining the area in which we all live. The green spaces we live, walk and play in. The luxury of seeing the trees change colours with the seasons is something easily forgotten and taken for granted, yet difficult to maintain without support. The availability of taking our children to a local, safe, attractive, engaging space is a part of infrastructure so easily overlooked, but a fundamental part of our lives when being proud of where we live. With local support, we are in control of our own upkeep and appreciation of the smaller things in life that have the biggest impact. Together we are St.Albans and together we enjoy all that it has to offer. Together we support Longacres Park so that tomorrow we can again call it home with pride.
Steps to get it done
