To provide a vibrant, stimulating and exciting Splash Park and Play Area, for children regardless of age and ability
Aims
To provide the children of Witney with modern play facilities within The Leys park
To support families and communities in giving their children the opportunity to play in a safe and friendly atmosphere
Objectives
Engage with stakeholders, business and the general public to raise funds to supplement available grants
Work alongside local councils in providing feedback and support to facilitate their decisions on the end product
What we'll deliver
- Work with Witney Town Council through the tender process and construction phase
Why it's a great idea
The Leys is intended to be the central play area for children in Witney. However, the old paddling pool has been closed for a couple of years and the play area is looking tired. Both are in need of a dramatic re-vamp
Steps to get it done
- Raise the remaning funds required (to satisfy the terms of the match funding already received)
- Support Witney Town Council through the tender process
Over £231,000 has already been raised towards the project. We would like to raise a further £2,500 through spacehive to fund the pumphouse and a changing shed.
