Why it's a great idea
1. Early Intervention & Prevention
Stay Well Ambassadors are trained to promote positive psychology and preventative culture in the community.
2. Encourages Open Conversations About Wellbeing
Ambassadors normalise talking about Mental, Emotional and Physical wellbeing in everyday settings, reducing stigma and making it easier for people to seek help when needed.
3. Creates a Peer-Led Support Network
People are often more comfortable opening up to a peer than a friend, family, Manager or HR. Ambassadors provide an informal, approachable point of contact within communities. Offering alternative positive conversation and proactive signposting.
4. Builds a Culture of Self-Awareness and Personal Responsibility to self-Check-in
Through tools like the 1–10 Mood Thoughts and Motivation scale, residents become more reflective and proactive about their own wellbeing and daily habits.
5. Reduces Absenteeism and Presenteeism
By supporting individuals early and signposting. Offering a alternative
