Volunteering, jobs & education
We exceeded our target of 20 people volunteering as a total of 46 people participated in script writing workshops, as performers and helping to build the set and make the props. Most of our volunteers were members of the Bognor Institute of Laughter steering group and affected by mental health issues or learning difficulties.
Arts, culture & heritage
We were very pleased with the result and felt that it had definitely achieved its objectives. The filmed sequences were produced by a new member of the team who was referred by the Aldingbourne Trust. George has Asperger's and needs support in terms of business planning but his film and editing skills are excellent. Without George, the whole project would not have been so successful and he has gone on to work with us on three other creative projects. The touring performances were well received, especially at Age UK where the audience really responded to the comedy.
