About the Project Creator
I launched Kitchenette, London’s first “kitchen incubator”, in 2013. We run a structured incubator programme that provides mentoring, advice and access to investors to talented young food startups to give their delicious, original concepts the best possible start on their road to scale. Since launching in January 2013, we have supported 9 entrepreneurs including The Good Egg (named "top brunch in London" by the Evening Standard) Theo's Pizzeria and Kimchinary (named “best Korean in London” by Hot Dinners). Our industry mentors include Mark Hix, Dan Germain (co- founder of Innocent Smoothies), Sinclair Beecham (co-founder of Pret A Manger), Yianni Papoutsis (founder of MEATliquor), Charlie Carroll (founder of Flat Iron) and many more of London’s top restaurateurs and food business experts. We authored a paper called "A Steak In The Economy" with a roundtable at No. 10 Downing Street on the potential role of food within the economy. We are now establishing a social enterprise arm called Kitchenette Karts.
