Mailed directly to 700 people and a created by a team of dedicated volunteers.
This publication serves as a beacon, sharing our mission to empower older individuals, fostering creativity, and influencing decisions in Newcastle. Its pages host a wealth of information, from benefits advice and service listings to engaging articles on arts, culture, health, and social care. The diverse content includes member-submitted pieces, insights into transport, housing, and activities to get involved in.

Steps to get it done
- Work with the editorial team to establish content categories and themes for the upcoming issues of The Echo magazine.
- Identify and recruit volunteers for various roles, including writers, editors, designers, and photographers.
- Negotiate cost with printers and distribution services to ensure efficient and cost-effective production
- Encourage EC members to submit content, including articles, artwork, and personal stories.
- Compile and finalise content for the next issue and organise printing and distribution.
- Coordinate volunteers to deliver mailout
- Encourage readers to give feedback
