The idea
We want to keep football at Stanhope and grow our club to ensure there is football for all ages and abilities in the local area. We support adults and children from all walks of life including disabled people through to the old and young. We are currently looking to create a disabled adult football team which may lead to a youth disabled team in the very near future.
We are a family club with great morals, and we support our members and our supporters to the best of our abilities, both on the match days and in their general lives. Funding would help provide volunteer training and create attainable goals for people to work towards to become greater assets to the club and community.

Why it's a great idea
Our project gives stability and a sense of worth to many troubled individuals that without us would have no other structure in their lives. We aim to be supportive of our members, not only in their everyday life but with mental health and in fact any problems they may have no matter how big or small. The disabled team we are looking into creating will provide disabled people an opportunity to be part of a team, be active and make new friends in a safe & inclusive environment.
Steps to get it done
- Complete mental health training for club and supporters
- Provide relevant training for disabled coaching
- Set up support for our disabled fans and encourage more disabled fans to get involved.
- Pay the relevant pitch fees and win our first games
