Edge Hill Jubilee Party for refugees

Moulana Community CIC By Moulana Community CIC

This project is a one-off program designed to bring various BAME Communities together under one roof. This will help the refugees have a greater knowledge of England and the Royal monarchy.

Edge Hill Delivery stage

£0
pledged of £2,036

Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

Moulana will prepare and print a booklet to distribute to the guests explaining to participants the history of the English monarchy and the life of her majesty's the Queen. Because of the limitations of the English language of the guests, it will be explained what Queen's jubilee is in simple and basic English. Moulana is planning to invite 40 of these vulnerable and unrepresented members of our community to enjoy themselves by celebrating this unique occasion in a happy and memorable event. There will be a live music group playing traditional English and Persian music. A well-prepared and presented English and Persian food will be served. This existing and memorable event is going to take place at Crown Plaza Hotel in Liverpool. As well as live music and quality food there will be soft drinks, mixed nuts, various cakes and fruits will be served. The media department of Moulana will be very busy preparing and live production of video clips and pictures to be broadcast on Instagram.

What we'll deliver:

  • 40 refugees will celebrate Queen's Jubilee with food & music
  • Event hire & food purchase
  • Traditional medallestern Musician hire

Why it's a great idea:

Moulana Community CIC LIVERPOOL is a new, young, and dynamic organisation established in Liverpool 3 years ago. we work with refugees and Asylum seekers. The project beneficiaries will be these people who are partially isolated and potentially vulnerable because of language barriers and lack of communication with locals. This project will bring these Community members together in a happy and party-like environment. The program will be enormously helpful in tackling the mental health issues that most of the participants suffer due to coronavirus restrictions and being away from their birthplaces. This event is designed to put a smile on these vulnerable and mainly sad people with a lot of integration to wider communities issues.

Steps to get it done:

  • Celebration event on 5th June 2022 of Queen's Jubilee
