Neurodiversity Architecture Network CIC (NAN CIC) is a community interest company working at the intersection of architecture, design, and neurodiversity. Founded by an intersectional neurodivergent designer and Architectural Assistant, NAN exists to make the built environment more inclusive by centering neurodivergent voices in the design process.
Based in the UK, NAN connects with a growing international network of individuals, organisations, and institutions who are reimagining how design can support diverse bodyminds. We deliver creative, sensory-led workshops (such as giant crochet), advocacy events in service of peer-support of the communities we reach.
Our work is structured around three pillars: Education, Advocacy, and Collaboration - connecting neurodivergent individuals with inclusive environments through participatory, co-designed methods.
Through partnerships, education, and hands-on engagement, NAN challenges traditional design practices and fosters systemic change in how architecture supports diverse ways of thinking, learning, and being. We envision a world where neurodivergent experiences are not an afterthought, but a source of innovation, creativity, and justice in design.
