By Storrington & Sullington Parish Council
To install a much needed public toilet in the village to enable visitors to spend more time in the area.
Installation of a brick built unisex wheelchair accessible WC in the North Street Car Park in Storrington village centre.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Installation of a public toilet has been listed as a priority in every public consultation that has taken place with residents and visitors to our village. Local businesses report an adverse affect on trading since the removal of the previous facility in 2006. Storrington is renowned for hosting various community events including boot sales, continental markets and fayres and feedback from organisers and visitors has proven that the addition of a public toilet will further enhance the success of these events and encourage more visitors. The number of people with disabilities is growing and we are all living longer so more people are likely to need access to a dda compliant public convenience in the future.
