The idea
Our project focuses on creating an inclusive and eco-friendly play area designed to stimulate imagination and promote accessibility for children of all abilities. The centrepiece is a visually engaging safety surface that replicates a flowing stream bordered by lush green grass, fostering a sense of tranquillity. A beautifully crafted wooden arched bridge will span the "stream," designed to be wheelchair-accessible and mindful of the needs of children with physical or emotional disabilities. This feature will enrich the shared space, utilised not only by the school but also by an independent pre-school and the local church community on weekends, promoting inclusivity and connection. Sustainable planting will enhance the natural aesthetic while supporting a calming environment.
