Stroud Rugby Club has been at the heart of the local community for over 150 years, providing inclusive rugby and social opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. The club offers a wide range of teams and activities, including Mini and Junior rugby from age 6, a Walking Rugby programme, two senior men’s teams, and a newly established women’s team.
Beyond rugby, the club plays an important role as a community hub. Its facilities are regularly used by local schools, county rugby, and a variety of community groups, making it a valued space for sport, social connection, and community events.
Stroud Rugby Club is committed to being welcoming and accessible to everyone. However, the current clubhouse presents a barrier to full inclusion, as the main hall and bar area are located upstairs and are not accessible to wheelchair users or those with mobility challenges. Addressing this limitation is a key priority for the club as it continues to strengthen its role as an inclusive and supportive community space.
