Sight Screen and Wind Damage Repairs

In the winter storms, there was significant damage to the sight screens and fencing. Both are repairable with suitable funds

The idea

The sight screen is required by league rules as well as enhancing the game. Suitable timber is available from our local builder's merchant and volunteers have been found to use this to replace the damaged parts (both legs, main base and struts)

The grounds are hired by several clubs/teams as well as our own need.

For the fencing, we also have volunteers to erect it in order to keep rabbits off the playing fields, but need the funds to acquire the goods

What we'll deliver

  • 'New' sight screen
  • Boundary Fencing

Why it's a great idea

The benefits are:
to assist the batsmen in seeing the cricket ball
provide a good playing surface on which to enjoy the sport of cricket

Steps to get it done

  • Purchase of cut timber
  • Purchase of fence post
  • Assembly of base frame

The club is a volunteer organisation and does not pay any players to play, nor any ground staff.
Currently there is no membership income but the expenses of keeping the 2 grounds in a state of preparedness is still needed
