The Harold's Cross ETNS Parent Staff Association is a voluntary organisation made up of parents, guardians, and school staff who work together to support and enrich the school experience for all our children. We aim to strengthen the connection between home and school, creating a sense of community and collaboration that benefits everyone.
HCETNS has recently moved into our long awaited permanent building. Our school community feels very lucky to have this amazing facility, however we are now tasked with filling it with the equipment and resources appropriate for a primary school with a growing student population of varying backgrounds, needs, and abilities.
We are working extremely hard to raise funds to properly resource the school to give our students access to the same school experience that many of their peers in more well establised, fully equipped schools currently enjoy.
We also feel strongly that the areas of the school that can be used by the community outside of school hours should be developed in order to make our school a proper community faculity, for the benefit of the wider community, as well as the families within our school.
The area of our school which houses our two autism classes is one such area. We have the opportunity to create a facility that will benefit some of the children in our community most in need of support. Installing a Calm Room will enable this part of our school to fully support our most vulnerable students, as well as children with autism and additional needs in the wider community through use by groups working in the area.
