Hub for the Homeless at The Upper Room

Our community kitchen produces over 26,000 meals every year to feed the homeless. We want to refurbish it and build a training room so we can help even more people and bring the community together!

We need people to offer skills, time or resources to develop this project. Check what’s needed below, then click ‘Volunteer’ to get involved.

  • We are looking for: - Polish and Romanian speaking volunteers, one afternoon a week, to translate/interpret on our UR4Jobs project. - Volunteers to take part in the Santa in the City 5k Run on 5th December. - Groups to organise a Sleep-out
  • We always need: - Cooking oil (Sunflower or Olive) - Mens socks and pants - Hats and gloves (dark colours) - Good quality men's clothing, shoes and trainers - Mens coats - Deodorant - Milton disinfectant
  • Good quality office furniture, including meeting room table/s for our new premises. Artworks to hang on the wall.
  • A lockable computer storage unit for up to 15 laptops for our training room - £281.
