WeAreHopeSt is a Community Interest Company Ltd by guarantee that provide a holistic and lived experience approach to preventing mental health crisis, aiding individuals into recovery, and sustaining wellbeing. There is no charge for our face-to-face services; however, we ask those who are financially secure to make a purchase from the cafe, or a small donation so we can sustain what we do.
We provide these services to areas across Lancashire and Merseyside prevalant in mental health inequalities, loneliness, social isolation, dementia, addiction, domestic abuse, and cost of living crisis by giving validation, hope, inspiration and education.
Our services include: 1:1 appointments with mental health nurses or life coaches, advice and support from dementia trainer, financial inclusion, food and warmth, benefits advice, rehousing, foodbank referrals; a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental place to speak or listen, peer support; guest speakers, facilitators and trainers with lived experience of mental health issues, alternative therapies, courses and workshops, arts, crafts and singing therapies, a qualified counsellor, laughter yoga, Tai Chi, pilates, menopause and bereavement groups, cancer workshops, exercise, walking groups, social events and holistic camping retreats.
Our services are held in person 6-days and 3-evenings a week so that the community have someone to talk to when they feel at their most vulnerable. We also have a telephone chat service where individuals can talk about how they're feeling and seek out a range of strategies to prevent crisis and aide recovery. Facebook messenger and email is also accessible 24/7 for people to reach out; however, there will be an automated response in the evenings and weekends with contact numbers, sign posting to virtual support and alternative contact details for those in crisis.
