Handrails to promote safe use of flight of stone steps on well-used public footpath through churchyard.
Installation of steel or wrought iron tubular black-painted rails supported on vertical posts to three flights of external stone steps on public footpath leading from The Street opposite the Eight Bells pub via lych-gate to the parish church and beyond to Bolney School and Glebe Field to improve accessibility for all users.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It is a long-held ambition of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) subject to funding to promote safe use of the path from The Street to the church for the benefit of all the community.
Steps to get it done:
The path via the lych-gate is used not just by worshippers and visitors but by children being accompanied on foot to Bolney School and by dog-walkers from the village. In the centenary year of WW1, more visitors are expected to Commonwealth War Graves.
