The idea
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. There has been a significant increase in the number of people requiring help during the COVID-19 pandemic and we are eager to respond. There has been a particular increase in the number of families and elderly who are struggling during this time.
Before this crisis, we were supporting around 1400 people in a year. We rely entirely on donations - both financial and food/basic hygiene items. Our normal sources of food donations are greatly reduced at this time and we are seeing the number of clients increase.
The project aims to support our foodbank the Borough of Westminster. We are part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Thank you for your support. It makes a difference on the ground.

During this period we are delivering to those who are most vulnerable in our community, particularly those who have suddenly lost their jobs, those needing to provide extra meals for their families during the day on already stretched finances.
