Waddington Cricket Club By Waddington Cricket Club

Waddington Cricket Club relies on playing games of cricket, members subs and fundraising to continue operating each year. COVID-19 has stopped our main sources of income. We need your help.

The cricket season usually runs from May to the end September however COVID-19 has meant that we have missed half our games. Whilst certain costs are reduced when not playing we still need to ensure equipment is maintained and that the pitch is suitable for playing on. The ECB will donate £100 towards the cause when we hit £100 in funds. We are looking to raise £200 towards equipment maintenance. We want to ensure that the club continues long after this is over. We look forward to welcoming people to back to watch cricket as soon as possible.

What we'll deliver:

  • Support essential equipment maintenance
  • Support ground maintenance

Why it's a great idea:

As cricket did not return until August we have missed out on valuable income. The project will support our club to carry out essential maintenance on aging mowers and other pitch preparation. Several of the mowers require sharpening and general maintenance to make sure they continue running for years to come.

Steps to get it done:

  • Run campaign to collect costs
  • Equipment maintenance carried out
