We are keeping our fundraiser open for continuous funding3 months ago

Dear Friends, I cannot thank you enough for the support and encouragement from this amazing first cycle of fundraising. So much is moving at the land and it is inspiring to feel the changes. Rather than feeling devastated, the felling is bringing beautiful shifts even though things are a bit raw and fresh right now. I am writing to share that we are keeping the page open on continual funding, so that we can sustain and support the regeneration long into the future. The actual costs coming up exceed what we raised for. I am so happy that we have also had the go ahead to work on a track to support safe and practical access which will make a huge difference moving forwards, so any more funds raised will also support this. Thankyou so much for your care, interest, time and energy. You are warmly welcome to the woods to see in person the progress, enjoy the nature or to volunteer at a land tending day. The wild garlic is coming, come and pick some! With all my love, Jill

We reached our target, the hugest thanks to everyone3 months ago

Dear Friends, I am so incredibly grateful for the response to our crowdfunder. Today we reached our first target. The sense of possibility this has generated is very real. On the ground at the woods, the felling is well under way. I had feared it would feel devastating at this stage but it really doesn't. The land feels like it can breath. Light is falling where it hasn't for generations, and new life will come again. This is the first bite of the cherry of removing the dead ash, we need to do more next season, but I am so incredibly happy with what has been possible this cycle. There is such an aliveness in being with the decline of our time in this way. Thankyou so much for helping this happen even when funds are tight for so many of us. I will keep you posted, and you are always very, very welcome to come and visit, spend time, or get involved. A recent and lovely gift that has come is the offer of some sixty healthy ash trees to replant next year. I hope we can support them to thrive, with the other new trees that will come up and get planted in the space we have made. I have made a little webpage you can read about the land stewardship project here.... www.conduitwoods.co.uk May you be helped in life for the help to life you have offered, many times over. All my love and thanks, Jill
