Hello kind backers, Apologies that our updates have been sporadic, but this is a good one, I promise! With your pledges we launched the Town Spot Presents exhibition 2 months ago in Kentish Town on 15th July with great success. The exhibition has 5 weeks left so there's still plenty of time to go see it if you can. Here's a feature in Kentishtowner with some images if you want a preview: https://www.kentishtowner.co.uk/2022/07/12/kentish-town-spot-new-outdoor-art-exhibition-across-18-stores/ We plan to do a full social impact report after the exhibition ends mid-October, but here are the numbers so far: 4,358 map views - we created a route map to guide people: www.ktspot.cc/business-map 146 QR code scans - to read full article about each business, see articles: https://www.kentishtownspot.com/local-spots 56 new WhatsApp newsletter subscribers, sign up here: https://www.kentishtownspot.com/ I'm most pleased about the number QR code scans as this demonstrate real interest from the public. It's usually difficult to get people to interact, nevermind scan anything in a shop window. In addition, we conducted a survey with the business owners 3 weeks after the installation. Here are some highlights from a very positive reaction: - Phoenicia Food Hall had around 30-40 people read the window display then go in to buy vegan baklava - Caliendo's Gelato had lots of people stopping to read then going into buy ice cream - Supreme Doner Kebab said when he saw the other window vinyls go up in other shops they felt more part of the high street - Matthew James Estate agents have had a noticeable difference in the number of walk-ins Thanks again for all your pledges. You've helped make a real difference in Kentish Town to these businesses and the community. Also, thanks to Olivia and Kish who worked tirelessly with me toward the production of the exhibition. Best, Mike Gyi Founder at Town Spot
