Bournemouth CC is suffering huge loss of income due to the Covid 19 lockdown. We need your help to raise funds to cover our costs and get cricket back on at Chapel Gate as soon as we are able.
The COVID-19 lockdown has had a big impact on Bournemouth Cricket Club. We have suffered a huge loss of income due to loss of advertising revenue, no food or bar sales, no fundraising events, no membership or match-day subs. Despite this, we still have bills to pay including insurance, ground rent and pitch maintenance. To be able to continue to provide cricket for the local community we need your help to meet some of these costs. Money that you donate will be matched by the England & Wales Cricket Board so please give generously! We hope to see cricket back at Chapel Gate soon.

Why it's a great idea: The lockdown has had a huge impact on people's physical and mental well-being. Cricket is a great form of exercise for people of all ages and we want to be able to offer this again as soon as restrictions are lifted. We have a thriving junior membership and no doubt they will all be keen to get back to their sport. For some of our single adult members, lockdown by themselves has been a really tough time, to provide support through the club community is vital.

Our net booking process is in place and we are working hard with BU to allow us to open the site and we hope to start training very soon. VolunteerBournemouth Cricket Club is the largest and most successful cricket club in the whole of Dorset and possess some of the best playing and training facilities in the South of England. We are the only club within the County to play in the ECB Southern Premier League Premier Division, having been promoted in 2018.
In 2019, our 2nd XI were promoted to Hampshire Cricket League County Division 1, the 4th XI promoted, to Hampshire County Division 5 South West and our 5th team, who play in the Dorset League, were also promoted to Dorset Division 5.
We are able to offer cricket at a level appropriate to the requirements of any prospective member, running five Saturday teams, two midweek evening league teams and a team in the family and participation orientated TT25 competition on alternate Sundays. We also enter the U19 ECB T20 competition which we won in 2016.

We operate a vibrant Youth Section accommodating all levels of participation from beginners to aspiring professionals with approximately 110 colts members in 2019. Expert coaching is available with age and ability appropriate sessions running throughout the winter and during the season. We also run our own academy for our District and County players fortnightly during the winter and summer months.
We run the Allstars programme for beginners of 5-8 years old and are really excited to be able to offer Dynamos cricket to capture the next stage, 8-11 years in 2020.
