It all started with a cup of tea and a chat, where we got chatting about the current struggles people are facing in our local area. That there was need to advocate and support people that are being let down by services and falling through the gaps. Each member of Thrive to Survive have lived/living experience of hardship whether that is: food insecurity, homelessness, financial hardship or mental health difficulties and at some point they have all felt like they have been let down by the services in some shape or form. With Thrive to Survive, we bring the people of Ellesmere Port and Elton together, offer practical support and advocacy. We hold alternative drop ins at the Let's Talk Space in Ellesmere Port market and Thelwall Road Community Centre where we help people to access the support they need, meeting fortnightly with clients as well as offering advice. We are that helping hand we don't just signpost to services we support and guide them through the process.
