This project will be used to raise funds to help Hathersage Cricket Club pay the costs we still have running the club during lockdown and ensure we are ready to play once it is safe. As a club, we have made significant developments in recent years, particularly increasing the opportunities for juniors, through All Stars and several age-group teams. We wish to continue our good work in the local community as whole as well as well our cricket club in order advance the progress already made. We appreciate and are grateful for any contributions made at a time where many may not be working.

What we'll deliver:

• A cricket club and ground ready for play once it is safe to do so
• All Stars and Dynamo Cricket at the junior level
• Recreational cricket for adults

Why it's a great idea:

Cricket is a great form of exercise for people of all ages with also a strong social aspect. We want to be able to offer this again as soon as restrictions are lifted and keep the community spirits high. All Stars has been a huge success at the club over the past three seasons, and with the addition of Dynamos Cricket more young children will have access to this fantastic game.

Steps to get it done:

• Run crowdfunding campaign to collect funds.
• Pay for essential overheads.
• Start planning for the end of the lock down and have a cricket pitch that is ready for use.
